Welcome to Krista Northridge College Counseling! My goal is to support and inspire students throughout high school, helping them uncover their strengths, define their goals, and approach the college application process with confidence and clarity – and maybe even a little fun!

Meet Krista
I bring over 15 years of experience in college admissions consulting, the culmination of a dynamic and evolving professional journey. After earning my degree in International Relations from Stanford University, I went on to receive my J.D. from UC Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). I began my career as a litigator, practicing law for six years before realizing that my true passion lay elsewhere.
Driven by a desire to work more directly with others, I transitioned out of the legal field and into education. I joined a small academic services company, where I helped launch its test preparation division, developing curriculum and teaching SAT and ACT prep classes. It was during this time that I discovered how much I valued mentoring high school students during one of the most formative periods of their lives.
To deepen my expertise, I completed UCLA’s College Counseling Certificate Program. Since then, I have worked closely with students across all stages of the college journey — from freshmen learning to navigate the challenges of high school, to seniors striving to turn years of hard work into meaningful college opportunities.

Shout Outs
“Not only did Krista help lead me on a path to my dream universities, but she supported my goals, taught me invaluable life skills, and, most importantly, made me believe in myself. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to have learned from her and can honestly say I would have never reached where I am today without her help.”
Luke, USC class of 2027
“Krista doesn’t just understand the college admissions process – she knows how to get kids in. After 15 years of recommending her, I’ve seen it happen repeatedly. She positions each student in a way that makes them stand out, highlighting what’s truly special about them, and ensuring their application gets noticed. Her approach is thoughtful, strategic, and incredibly effective."
